A beacon of hope for all South African women

With her journey she hopes to inspire young women and motivate them not give up on their dreams and goals.

Mother, strong, empowering, elegant and well-spoken are some of the words that describe Chantel Hoffman.

The down-to-earth Chantel grew up in Eldorado Park, and is making her mark as one of the Tammy Taylor Mrs South Africa semi-finalist for 2020. During her school years she took part in local modelling competitions such as Miss Eldorado Park and Miss Junior Johannesburg, and has won both with her bubbly and outgoing personality.

She is known to be family-oriented and loves to interact with others. After facing some ups and down, and being blessed with two beautiful children – one them her Down Syndrome daughter – Chantel has grown more confident and stronger. “My daughter is my role model in life. She overcomes so many things on a daily basis, and she works through all the struggles associated with Down Syndrome. If such a tiny person could make it, achieve her goals and keep on trying, so can I,” she continued.

After moving to Roodekrans she first had her sights set on the Miss South Africa title, but due to not meeting the height requirements she was not able to participate.
